Here Chamber Executive Director Jason Ryll presents a cheque for $337. 45 to SPCA Manager Elizabeth Dighton.

The Williams Lake & District Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Information Centre staff are proud to raise funds for charity during our annual Spark Into Christmas event. The month-long fundraiser was kicked off on December 1st with the lighting of the Tourism Discovery Centre in Christmas lights. Inside, all tips donated from sales of either the coffee shop and gift shop were donated to the local SPCA. The fundraising ran all month long, with total donations raised of $337.45.

“We’re proud to take part in this annual celebration of Christmas lights and to be able to donate to charity at the same time,” says Chamber Executive Director Jason Ryll, “This is the fourth year that we donate all our tips to charity, and this year we’re happy to support our local branch of the SPCA.”

The Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Information Centre will take part again in 2023 raising funds for a new charity during the month of December. “We’re hoping to continue to add Christmas lights to light up the Tourism Discovery Centre as much as possible, too. It’s such a beautiful building that’s already iconic. We want to add to the magic of Christmas every year.” says Ryll.
