Position Title: Full-Time Visitor Centre Counsellor
Location: Williams Lake Tourism Discovery Centre
1660 S Broadway Avenue, Williams Lake, BC V2G 2W4

Managed by the Williams Lake & District Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Information Centre.

This is a fun, hands-on summer role where you’ll welcome visitors, promote local businesses and events, and support tourism in Williams Lake. You’ll gain experience in marketing, customer service, and event coordination in a busy, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

Visitor Centre Support

  • Welcome and assist visitors
  • Hand out maps, brochures, and guides
  • Keep the centre tidy and organized
  • Support gift shop sales (coffee, ice cream, etc.)

General Support

  • Record visitor feedback and inquiries
  • Help track tourism data

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma (or in progress) or current college student
  • Friendly and confident communicator
  • Comfortable with social media (Canva is an asset)
  • Organized and able to multitask
  • Interested in tourism, marketing, or events
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Job Details

  • Season: May – August 2026
  • Full-time (weekends, evenings, and holidays required)
  • $20.00/hour
